TIOGA COUNTY BICENTENNIAL COMMUNITY
The Borough Council and Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome you to Tioga. We would like to give you some answers to questions that are asked of us often.

You are responsible for your own trash disposal; you may burn your trash from 7am to 9pm except in the mobile home parks, but please NO plastic or toxic materials. Please use caution during droughts and windy conditions. There are three independent trash haulers that come to Tioga. Please call to confirm trash pickup.

We have recycling on the first Saturday of every other month from 8am until noon; this is located at the end of Broad Street. Please have everything sorted and separated. DO NOT BRING HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE.
After a snowstorm or ice storm, please clear your sidewalks within 12 hours following same storm. The sidewalks are the responsibility of the homeowner or tenant; please keep them maintained. Please keep your properties neatly maintained. Our ordinance states that lawns should never exceed 6” in height. Dogs should always be kept on a leash.

We also have some family activities and fun for the whole family:
- The swimming pool on Broad Street is open during the summer through Old Home Day.

- We also have a great park for your enjoyment open dawn to dusk daily.
There is a curfew in effect for ALL children under the age of 18. Please be home by 10pm weeknights and 11pm weekends. (Fridays and Saturdays).
Zoning permits are available at the Borough Office, if you decide to add another structure (shed, deck, fence etc.) to your property.

Water and Sewer Information
The Water/Sewer bills are prepared monthly. Effective January 1, 2025, the sewer fees, per EDU (equivalent dwelling unit), are a base charge of $41.50 plus $8.50/1,000 gallons more than 2,500 gallons. The water fees for residents, per EDU, are a base charge of $24.00 plus $10.00/1,000 gallons more than the 2000 gallons. For new service hook-ups there is a one-time tapping fee of $1700.00 for sewer and $1150.00 for water. Water/sewer bills can be paid on-line.
